Dr. Clifford Peck opened Forest Creek Animal Hospital in October of 2000. A native Austinite, he attended Crockett High School and went to Texas A&M University for his undergraduate and veterinary education. After attaining his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 1987, Dr. Peck practiced veterinary medicine in Houston for twelve years before moving back home to Austin. Dr. Peck enjoys fishing, water and snow skiing, and spending time with his family. He has a wife and three kids, two Labrador retrievers: Rocket and Penny, and a cat, Starr.
Dr. Amber Breclaw joined the staff at Forest Creek Animal Hospital in June 2008. She grew up in Houston, TX and went to Texas A&M University for her undergraduate and veterinary school. Dr. Breclaw graduated cum laude with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. After practicing veterinary medicine for a year in North Austin, she has now made Round Rock her home. Dr. Breclaw enjoys music, reading, going out to eat, and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband, Jarrod, have two adorable children: Collin, who was born in July 2009, and Claire, born in May 2011. Dr. Breclaw has been a volunteer for the Guide Dogs of Texas and raised and helped train a puppy named Jinx, who is currently working as a guide dog. Currently, her pets include a three-legged Chihuahua mix named Bailey, and a black lab (and retired quide dog) named Milo.
Dr. Lisa LaBry began practicing at Forest Creek Animal Hospital in August 2009. A southern Louisiana native, she attended Louisiana State University for her undergraduate studies and veterinary school. Dr. LaBry obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May 2005. She was a small animal practitioner for four years in Las Vegas prior to moving to Round Rock in 2009. In her spare time, Dr. LaBry enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time outdoors with her dogs. Dr. LaBry shares her home with her lab mix, Bubba, her husky-mix, Mika, and 3 cats, Beanie, Mouser, and Asia.
Dr. Cole Carter joined FCAH in May of 2014. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, he worked as a veterinary technician at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center and the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2010. He has been practicing in the Austin area since 2010. Dr. Carter grew up in the Texas hill country and has two feisty cats - Gracie and Star. In his free time he enjoys anything outdoors, traveling to new places, trying new foods and restaurants, exercising, and following Gator and Aggie athletics.
Dr. David Shaffer has been with Forest Creek Animal Hospital since June 2005. He was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. Dr. Shaffer graduated with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 1987 and was a classmate, roommate, and friend of Dr. Peck. Dr. Shaffer has also practiced veterinary medicine for twelve years in Corpus Christi and three years in Fort Worth. He recently moved back to Corpus Christi, but he still comes back to work at Forest Creek Animal Hospital a few days every month. Dr. Shaffer enjoys most outdoor activities, including boating and fishing, as well as movies, reading, and talk-sports radio. Dr. Shaffer has two lovely daughters, Hannah and Reilly. He also has four, four-legged children: two Labrador retrievers named Gunner and George, a Yorkshire terrier named Lexy, and a cat named Carlos.
Angel Abbott is our technician supervisor and has been at Forest Creek Animal Hospital since January 2007. She has been a veterinary technician since 2001 and worked at two different veterinary hospitals in Houston before joining us here. She especially loves the day-to-day challenge and high pace of the veterinary field. Angel was born and raised in Stillwater, OK and is an avid crossword puzzler. She and her husband, Jeremy, have two dogs: a Shepherd mix, Darcy, and an adorable Chihuahua, Jasmine, as well as three mischievous cats, Butch, Vincent, and Riley.
Lindsay Kennon, RVT is a registered veterinary technician who joined the Forest Creek Animal Hospital staff in August of 2009. She grew up in Georgetown, Texas where she worked with her father, who is a veterinarian, at his animal hospital. Lindsay received a veterinary technology degree and an RVT license from Cedar Valley College in May 2009. After graduation, she worked at a small animal emergency hospital in Anchorage, Alaska before coming to work at Forest Creek. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys reading and outdoor activities. She has two dogs, a red heeler named Layla, and a blue heeler/Australian shepherd mix named Blue.
Amor Callihan joined Forest Creek as a technician in October 2010. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2008, and is currently taking classes at Austin Community College. Amor's favorite aspect of her job is being part of the healing process for our patients. Outside of work, Amor enjoys reading, exercising, spending time with her husband and family, and taking her Shepherd mix, Osyrys, to the park.
Lauren started at FCAH in May of 2014 after working as a veterinary technician in Manor for 2 years. She grew up in the "big" city of Holland, TX, and graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Animal Science. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and reading and movies. She has two dogs at home; Zander, a 14 year old Bassett Hound, and Dovey, a 3 year old Lab Mix.
Lauren started at FCAH in July of 2014. She grew up in Hutto, but recently moved back home from Louisiana. She currently attends Austin Community College's vet tech program. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and her two cats; Aurora and Cocoa.
Kellie-Rae is a lead receptionist and has been with Forest Creek Animal Hospital since June 2007. A native of Plano, TX, she has been in the veterinary field since 2002, three and a half years of which were spent at an emergency animal hospital. Kellie-Rae and her husband George have a beautiful little girl, Averie, who was born in January 2009. They have four cats- Ginger, Piper, Cleo, and Sonoma.
Nicole started working at Forest Creek in April 2012 as a technician assistant. She graduated from Lexington High School, and is currently studying business through the University of Phoenix. Nicole loves the variety and challenges that working with animals brings. Her hobbies include singing, riding horses, and roping. Nicole has a Chihuahua names Sugar.
Karen joined the Forest Creek staff as a receptionist in July 2012. Having grown up in a military family, she was born in Japan and has traveled and lived all over the world. She went to school in California and Texas and has degrees in Aesthetics and in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing. Karen has worked in the veterinary field for over 6 years, and is passionate about helping people with their animals. Outside of the office, Karen loves painting, photography and hiking with her 2 dogs: a Lab named Holly and a Basset Hound named Waffles.
Ashely started at Forest Creek as a Receptionist August of 2014. She grew up and worked at a veterinary hospital in Tyler, TX prior to moving to Round Rock. She got her paramedic degree from Tyler Junior College. In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and exploring her new city! Ashley has an 8 year old Shiba-Inu, Karley Run-Amuck, and an orange tabby cat, Milo, at home.
Roy has been a kennel technician at Forest Creek since June 2010. He also works part time as an animal control officer with the Pflugerville police department. Roy’s favorite part of his job is working with the animals we see every day. His hobbies include fixing computers and spending time with his daughter, Alexa. Roy also has 2 chihuahuas: Gabby and DiDi.
Alex started with FCAH as a veterinary assistant and kennel technician in June 2014. Alex has a 6 month old Boxer at home.
Arlene started with FCAH as a veterinary assistant and kennel technician in July 2014. Arlene has 5 dogs at home; 2 boxers: Gus and Roxie, and 3 Yorkies: Sassy, Kobe, and Shaquil.
Cambri joined Forest Creek Animal Hospital as a professional groomer in August 2007. Her skills as a groomer have been self taught and she has been grooming animals since 2003. She started grooming horses in high school and then worked with dogs and cats. She was a groomer at PetsMart and PetCo for six years prior to coming to Forest Creek, including 2 years of management over the PetCo grooming salon. Cambri enjoys the country life with her horses and dogs. She recently married her high school sweetheart.
